Newsletter - Winter 2012

Hi Everyone, I can’t believe this is the last newsletter of 2012! Where has this year gone!

Our regular crop days are proving very popular, next dates are Saturday’s 8th December, 19th January & 16th February. We will be having our New Year party at our January crop, with party food & crafty games in the afternoon. (If coming please bring a plate of party food) If coming to the crop days, please bring along a mug and an extra cardigan in case hall gets a little chilly in the afternoon.

We are planning a Christmas lunch at the Blue Hayes Restaurant , at Shootash nr Romsey on Thursday 20th December at 1pm, 3 courses for £19.95. Please let me know if you are interested in joining us, as I have copies of the Christmas menu. So you can make your choice and I will take a deposit of £10. So the restaurant has the menu choices in advance.

Forces cards update we have just sent of another 3 boxes to Afghanistan totalling 266 cards. Bringing our new total to 3956!!! We have recently received two letters from soldiers in Afghanistan thanking us for the handmade cards, which makes it all worthwhile.

We have lots of new stock in, I have more than 25 boxes of new stock in my back room which I am trawling through!

We have fizzy moon festive fun - Decoupage pads, Glitter stickers, gems, brads & blossoms. Helz Cuppleditch Christmas special delivery 6x6 paper packs, clear stamps, Adhesive gems & pearls, glitter stickers, wooden Christmas characters, Pastel & Bright’s twine sets. Back to basics vintage & modern ribbon packs, Christmas button collection, Gemstones, Satin sticky ribbon, doilies and adhesives. That is just the contents of one box!!!  Prices starting at 99p.

We have a huge amount of stock here so come & visit us soon.

As usual we will be doing Christmas in January, before we pack away all of our Christmas craft stuff. Don’t forget to save your cracker bits (fancy paper/card/ribbon) Christmas cards etc. for our recycled class in January.

All classes need to be booked in advance either by phoning on 01794 322421 or emailing [email protected]  and a £5 deposit paid.

I have had to make the decision to increase the price of the classes to £12 per session, from January. For this you get around 2.5 hours of crafting, including all materials, two cups of tea or coffee & homemade cake, and 10% off purchases at a class. So still extremely good value for money. I had planned to do this last year, but decided to wait. Due to the lighting etc in the workshop my electric bill is huge!!

I have not put my class prices up since I started 9 years ago, this coming spring!

The coffee mornings will not go up in price, neither will the crop days as long as we carry on getting good numbers attending.

I am still a lot cheaper than other companies I have spoken to, regarding what they charge for this service. No one else gives two cups of tea or coffee and definitely no homemade cake or 10% off!

I am sorry I have had to do this.

So all that is left to say is I wish you all a peaceful Christmas and a happy new year.

Crafty hugs, Sarah x
